Tutors for TRIO must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 semester and cumulative GPA, must have taken the courses they are tutoring in, and must have earned an A (a B may be acceptable under certain circumstances) in the course.  Occasionally, an experienced TRIO tutor may tutor in a course they are currently taking along with the student.

Tutors work on a set schedule with their students, and are required to be available to work a minimum of 6 hours/week.  Schedules for our tutors are very flexible, and will be determined by the tutor and students.  Tutors are occasionally required to attend staff meetings or training sessions.  All staff meetings and training sessions are paid.

Currently, TRIO Tutors who are Undergraduates are paid $7.00/hour; Tutors who are Graduate students are paid $7.50/hour. 

In order to apply for a tutoring position, you must:

1. Complete the 2007 Tutor Employee Application.
2. Submit an unofficial copy of your Academic Transcript (from "My Information" on the web is acceptable)
3. Provide an Academic Reference
4. Provide a copy of your Class Schedule 

We will then contact you by email and let you know whether or not we would like to interview you for a position.  All applications are held for one academic year.
